Lahore faces unannounced gas, electricity load-shedding

LAHORE – Parts of Pakistan including Lahore are experiencing hours long load shedding of gas and electricity.
In Lahore, duration of electricity load shedding is 8-10 hours. In certain areas, people are getting electricity for just one hour after two hours outages.

As per the officials, electricity shortfall of Lahore Electricity Supply Company (LESCO) has surpassed 1,000 megawatts.

The same is the situation with gas. People are getting difficulties in even cooking meals for families due to severe gas shortage at peak winter.
Even during availability of gas, the pressure is too low which is making it difficult to cook meals.
