ISLAMABAD: TV anchor Ashfaque Ishaque Satti has been suspended from his position by the management of ARY TV channel following serious allegations of domestic abuse against his wife.
The suspension was announced via a statement by a private news channel ARY management, stating that they have a zero-tolerance policy towards violence or threats of violence, whether at the workplace or in domestic settings. Satti’s suspension will remain in effect until the legal proceedings regarding the matter are concluded.
Earlier today, the police registered a First Information Report (FIR) against Satti based on a complaint filed by his wife. The FIR includes sections related to torture and making threats against the morning show host from a private TV news channel.
